MARSHALL'S AUTO & TRUCK PARTS – WARRANTY - COVERAGE AND LIMITATIONS

ENGINE: Engine long block assembly, including all internal lubricated parts, i.e., rings, pistons, crankshaft and main bearings, the connecting rods, rod bearings, camshaft bearings, timing chain gears, rocker arms, valve springs, valve guides, valve seats, valve push rods, valve lifters, and oil pump. Additionally, the engine head(s), engine block, and cylinder barrels will be covered if they are damaged solely as a result of mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components specified above. The timing chain or timing belt is recommended to be replaced. Engines are not direct drop-in; accessories, manifolds, and brackets must be swapped from the core engine. The cooling system must be flushed and in good working order, including cooling fans. Accessory items, including but not limited to electrical components of all types (distributor, alternator, all sensors and electrical control devices), fuel system (including carburetors, fuel injection system(s), fuel pump), water pump, thermostat, timing belt, timing chain, soft plugs, manifolds, oil pan and valve covers, pollution controls, gaskets, seals, filters, mounts, linkages and fluids are not covered by this agreement. All fluids must be filled to manufacturer specifications, and the correct fluid type must be used.

MILEAGE DISCLAIMER: Like all salvage yards, sometimes we are unable to obtain the actual mileage associated with the parts that we sell. At the same time, we do our best to verify and display the most accurate mileage reading. Mileage readings displayed on our pricing quotes or website links are estimates and should not be relied upon.


TRANSFER CASE: All internal lubricated parts are contained within the transfer case. The transfer case itself will be covered if damaged solely as a result of the mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components contained within the transfer case. Integral Transmissions must be flushed, including all lines, coolers, and all filters replaced. Accessory items, including but not limited to drive chains, U-joints, electrical components, linkages, seals, gaskets, mounts, or fluids, are covered by this agreement. All fluids must be filled to manufacturer specifications, and the correct fluid type must be used.

DIFFERENTIAL: All internal lubricated parts are contained within the drive axle housing case. The drive axle housing itself is damaged solely as a result of the mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components contained in the drive axle housing. Accessory items, including but not limited to backing plates, all brake system components, cables, controls, linkages, vents, pumps, U-joints, electrical controls, mounts, seals, gaskets, or fluid, are not covered by this agreement. All fluids must be filled to manufacturer specifications, and the correct fluid type must be used.

TRANSMISSION (Automatic or Standard): All internal lubricated parts contained within the transmission case. The transmission case itself is damaged solely as a result of mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components contained within the transmission case. The complete hydraulic system must be flushed, including the integral transfer case, oil cooler, lines, and new filter(s) installed. Accessory items, including but not limited to modulators, governors, electrical controls, linkage, mounts, seals, gaskets, or fluids, are not covered by this agreement. All fluids must be filled to manufacturer specifications, and the correct fluid type must be used. NOTE: Post-installation of automatic transmissions may require a dealer to re-flash the ECM to ensure proper drivability and shifting.

CORES: To receive a credit/refund, cores must be returned within thirty (30) days from the original invoice date. Cores must be drained and assembled. Subject to the limitations stated in this agreement, Marshall's Auto Parts, Inc. (at its election) agrees to reimburse the customer, repair or replace a covered component if the covered component fails as a result of one or more of the internal lubricated parts within the component during the stated warranty period of thirty (30) days from the date of purchase, while the component is being used under normal driving conditions and in the manner specified by its original manufacturer.

USED COMPONENTS: The customer acknowledges that the component(s) purchased by the customer and covered by this agreement were/are used components when purchased. Unless otherwise stated.

REPLACED COMPONENTS: In the event the component(s) are replaced under this agreement, they will be replaced by used components of like kind and quality. Unless otherwise agreed to by Marshall's Auto Parts, Inc., Replaced components are warrantied from the initial purchase date of the original component.

BODY COMPONENTS: All glass, i.e., windshields, door glasses, quarter glass, etc., is not returnable. All body parts, i.e., sheet metal, are not returnable. All interior components, i.e., seats, dashes, trim panels, etc., are not returnable. All the previously stated and subsequent parts are sold as-is.

ELECTRICAL: All electrical items, i.e., wiring, modules, speedometers, ECMs, TCMs, etc., are not returnable. If defective, it is sold on an exchange basis only within 30 days.

CHASSIS: All suspension, i.e., control arms, struts, springs, spindles/knuckles, wheel/hub bearings, driveshafts, axles, etc., are sold as-is and not returnable.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Marshall's Auto Parts, Inc. reserves the right to inspect the component(s) or part(s) covered under this agreement prior to any repair or replacement of or reimbursement for such component(s) authorized.

THIS AGREEMENT AND LIMITED WARRANTY ARE VOID IF:

1. MARSHALL'S AUTO PARTS, INC. IS NOT PROVIDED A REASONABLE OPPORTUNITY FOR INSPECTION OF A COVERED COMPONENT PRIOR TO REMOVAL, REPAIR, OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY COVERED COMPONENT.

2. THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT USE NEW TUNE-UP EQUIPMENT, OIL, SEAL(S), AND OIL FILTER(S) PRIOR TO THE OPERATION OF THE COMPONENTS. 

3. THE COMPONENTS ARE NOT INSTALLED BY A CERTIFIED LICENSED FACILITY.

4. THE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT IS CAUSED BY A NON-COVERED COMPONENT OR PART OR BY ANY PART OR COMPONENT NOT PURCHASED FROM MARSHALL'S AUTO PARTS, INC.

5. THE CUSTOMER FAILS TO FOLLOW THE MINIMUM MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS SUGGESTED BY THE MANUFACTURER AND FAILS TO PROVIDE PROPER SERVICE DOCUMENTS.

6. WARRANTY IS VOID IF HEAT TABS ARE MELTED ON THE ENGINE.

7. THE COMPONENT FAILS DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION OR MISUSE OF THE PURCHASED COMPONENT.


STANDARD WARRANTY: This warranty will protect the original purchaser for a period of thirty (30) days from the original invoice date for refund or replacement of a failed part. This coverage is included on all used part sales unless otherwise stated on the front of the invoice.

LABOR: No labor is covered by this agreement. Unless otherwise stated on the front of the invoice.


30-DAY RETURN POLICY: A part may be returned undamaged and in its original condition within 30 days of the invoice date at management's discretion. Said returns may incur a 25% restocking fee.
